Collection: Alum Bay and The Needles

Alum Bay & The Needles, on The Isle of Wight. This gallery contains landscape images of Alum Bay and The Needles, at the westernmost point of The Isle of Wight.

The Needles are three chalk stacks about 100ft high which are part of a chalk ridge that used to join the Island to the mainland at Old Harry Rocks in Dorset.

Alum Bay is most famous for its multi-coloured sands in the cliff which range from deep greys to bright purples and reds. It is absolutely beautiful on a summers evening when the sun is setting and the sands are illuminated. The land is managed by The National Trust.
