Alum Bay and The Needles
This gallery contains landscape images of Alum Bay and The Needles. The Needles are the western most point of the Isle of Wight - three chalk stacks about 100ft high which are part of a chalk ridge that used to join the Island to the mainland at Old Harry Rocks in Dorset.
Alum Bay is most famous for its multi-coloured sands in the cliff which range from deep greys to bright purples and reds. It is absolutely beautiful on a summers evening when then sun is setting and the sands are illuminated.
