Snow - almost as rare as rainbows in my portfolio! After seeing the forecast I was determined I was not going to miss this one. Up at 5.30am and in Freshwater by 6.45am I had the feeling I had been done. As the rain got heavier, my stomach could no longer wait for its breakfast so I was back in Ryde for porridge and strong coffee by 8am. 10 past 8, a quick glimpse out of the window and...where had all the colour gone ?!

Several phone calls and texts later and all my early riser friends and neighbours had also alerted me to the fact. And so Derek and I spent the next 6 hours driving around the Island intermittently photographing the snow & chucking it at each other... Kids eh? :-)
